2 March 1993
Elk Park Center
Page 3
• c. It was suggested that a pedestrian link (sidewalk) should be added between the
shopping center and the residential area west of Jackson. We agreed that a walk
would be placed along the south side of Cub Foods.
7. Signage:
a. Two (2) shopping center identification pylons are acceptable. One at the
Jackson/Freeport intersection, and one at the turn lane to Highway 169.
Individual outlot buildings would each have a smaller pylon sign, placed along
Freeport Avenue.
b. Tenant signage would be with 2'-0" high (maximum) internally lite, channel formed
letters placed within the sign band above the awnings. Major tenant signage
would be placed on the entrance canopies, sized as indicated on the drawings.
c. No signage would occur along the western side of the project (back of the
buildings).
8. Miscellaneous:
a. If Wal-mart's garden center is to occur in space Cl,than it should be shown as an
open space with a screen fence along the sidewalk edge similar to the fence
between Cub and Wal-mart. The elevation of Building C should be modified
accordingly.
b. It was suggested that the above modifications be submitted to the City prior to the
Planning Commission meeting, if possible.
• c. BRW will recommend approval of the project, subject to compliance with the
intent of the above modifications.
If the information contained herein does not meet with your recollection, please contact this office
so that we may amend our records.
xc: Steve Rohif
Bill Webber
•
