It has been reviewed pursuant to <br /> responsibilities given to the Minnesota Historical Society by the Minnesota <br /> Historic Sites Act and the Minnesota Field Archaeology Act and through the <br /> process outlined in Minnesota Rules 4410.1600. <br /> There are no properties in the project area that are listed on the National <br /> Register of Historic Places or included in our inventory. In the absence of <br /> • reported properties, we have also evaluated the likelihood that unreported <br /> historic or archaeological properties may be present. Although we cannot <br /> state with certainty that there are no significant unreported historical or <br /> archaeological properties within the project area, we feel that the probabil- <br /> ity of such properties being present is low. Therefore, in our opinion, the <br /> "no" response to question 26a is appropriate. <br /> Please note that this comment letter does not address the requirements of Sec- <br /> tion 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and 36CFR800, Pro- <br /> cedures of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation for the protection of <br /> historic properties.
