Page 13 City Council Minutes February 9. 1987 e Mayor Gunkel noted that the Council had received the petition and has it on file. She also noted that some of the people who signed the petition did not live in Elk River and also that some people signed their name twice. Councilmember Tralle noted that no matter what decision is made. the City would probably be involved in a lawsuit. and. therefore. stated that the City is not voting one way or another because of any lawsuit threat. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 87-3, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF ELK RIVER ZONING MAP TO ZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY UPA INTO THE SWF-SOLID WASTE FACILITY OVERLAY DISTRICT. COUNcILMEMBER SCHJJLDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-1. COUNcILMEMBER DOBEL OPPOSED. 6.1. Consider Hiring of Part Time Receptionist COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO HIRE ALICE HEINECKE AS PART TIME RECEPTIONIST AT A WAGE OF $5.50 PER HOUR WITH A THREE MONTH REVIEW AND AN INCREASE IN SALARY TO 6.00 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON THE REVIEW. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. Consider Resolution relating to Parking Ban in Industrial Park 6.2. e cOUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 87-12. A RESOLUTION RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON STATE AID PROJECT 204-125-01 FROM CSAH 1 TO CSAH 1 IN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER. MINNESOTA. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. 7.1. Liquor Store Ingress-Egress This item was cancelled due to the lateness of the hour. 8. Check Register COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. APPROVE THE CHECK REGISTER. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. There being no further business. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0.
