The City Administrator indicated that the County made a decision <br />on the court house. The vote was to either have the court house <br />come down or to be moved to a different location. <br /> <br />7.9.B. The City Administrator informed the Council that Staff is working <br />with Larry Morrell in order to try to relocate him as his <br />business is not an appropriate use around schools. He noted that <br />this action could necessitate the use of TIF funds. He stated <br />the funds could come from TIF Districts #1 and #3. It was the <br />consensus of the Council to proceed with the possible use of TIF <br />to relocate Larry Morrell because this would indirectly benefit <br />the City. It was also the consensus of the Council to obtain <br />legal clarification on the use of tax increment financing money <br />for this situation. <br /> <br />7.9.C. Police Depar~m.en~ Cle~ning Services <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the Chief of <br />Police is requesting to increase the amount paid for the cleaning <br />service by $25.00 per week. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMlMBER DOBEL MOVED TO INCREASE THE CLEANING SERVICE FEE <br />FROM $50.00 PER WEEK TO $75.00 PER WEEK. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7.8. Police Union Contract Discussion. <br /> <br />This part of the meeting was a closed door session for the purpose of <br />police union negotiations. This section of the Council meeting was tape <br />recorded. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO ACCEPT THE CONDITIONS OF THE PROPOSED <br />POLICE UNION CONTRACT AS OUTLINED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR. <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />8.1.
