COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMBMBER TRALLE MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 88-21, A RESOLUTION <br />APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR <br />BIDS IN THE MATI'ER OF THE DOWNTOWN STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT OF 1988. <br />COUNCILMBMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.3.Fire Department Grass Fire Truck <br /> <br />Russ Anderson, Fire Chief, reported that he has received five quotes for a <br />one ton four wheel drive truck to be used for fighting grass fires. He <br />noted that the low quote was $12,700 from Country Chrysler, but the engine <br />was not big enough to fill the needs for the department, therefore, he <br />recommended that the Council approve the next lowest quote from Saxon <br />Motors of $13,802.00. The Fire Chief also indicated that the Fire <br />Department has agreed to equip the truck with the necessary equipment for <br />fighting grass fires from fire department funds. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A ONE TON PICK-UP <br />FOUR WHEEL DRIVE FROM SAXON MOTORS FOR $13,802. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the funding for this truck was not <br />budgeted and if the revenues do not exceed expenditures, equipment <br />reserves will be used, and further, if the revenues do exceed <br />expenditures, Council Contingency Funds will be used. <br /> <br />6.0.Administrative Subdivision Request/Dick Hinkle <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf, Building and Zoning Administrator, stated that the Council <br />recently approved an administrative subdivision for Dick Hinkle at the <br />November 16, 1987, City Council Meeting. Mr. Rohlf stated that the split <br />was never recorded. He indicated that Mr. Hinkle is now requesting that <br />this same parcel of land be split into two parcels instead of the original <br />request which was three parcels. Two of the three lots created at the <br />11/16/87 Council meeting would be combined. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY DICK HINKLE TO <br />RESUBDIVIDE THE PARCEL OF LAND WHICH WAS APPROVED BY COUNCIL ON NOVEMBER <br />16, 1987, BUT NEVER RECORDED, BY ELIMINATING PARCEL C, THEREBY SPLITTING <br />ONE PARCEL OF LAND INTO TWO PARCELS. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.1.Fina1 Plat Review of Sunset Ridge Plat <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel indicated that the developers of Sunset Ridge Plat are before <br />the Council for final plat approval. She indicated that the plat consists <br />of 24 non-city sewered and watered lots and is located in a R-la zoned <br />area. <br />
