Holmgren. <br />Kropuenske. and Dobel (9:37 p.m.) <br /> <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: None <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: Patrick Klaers. City Administrator; Lori Johnson. <br />Finance Director; Peter Beck. City Attorney <br /> <br />1. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider 8/28/89 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 8/28/89 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA. <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Consider 8/21/89 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 8/21/89 CITY <br />MINUTES. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br />THE MOTION <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Open Mike <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />There was no one present for this item. <br /> <br />5.1. City/School Agreement <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that he was ready to present to the <br />Council the final Letter of Understanding. which is the City/School <br />Agreement. He indicated that this agreement is acceptable to School <br />District and also to City Staff. The terms in this agreement for the <br />city garage expansion has been previously discussed and reviewed by the <br />Ci ty Counc il. <br /> <br />COUNCILMlMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE CITY/SCHOOL AGREEMENT FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION OF THE ADDITION TO THE EXISTING CITY PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE <br />WHICH WILL BE LEASED TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR ITS USE. COUNCILMEMBER <br />SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />5.2. Final Pay Estimate/S & L Excavating for Royal Oaks <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE FINAL PAY ESTIMATE TO S & L <br />EXCAVATION FOR THE ROYAL OAKS RIDGE IMPROVEMENTS IN. AN AMOUNT OF <br />$77 .124.36. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />5.3. Gambling License Renewal/VFW Post for Dick's Main Tap and Elk River <br />Bowl <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle indicated that the Elk River VFW Post is making application <br />for renewal of their gambling licenses at Main Tap. Inc. and at Elk River <br />Bowl. The Council took no action to veto this request. <br />
