Schuldt. and <br />Holmgren <br /> <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmember Dobel <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: <br /> <br />Pat Klaers. City Administrator; Russ Anderson. Fire <br />Chief; Lori Johnson. Finance Director <br /> <br />1. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 7:45 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider 10/2/89 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />The following items were added to the City Council agenda: <br /> <br />4.2. <br />4.3. <br />4.4. <br />10.1. <br /> <br />Chamber of Commerce <br />Petition by Bill Pollard <br />Main Street Video <br />Update from Mayor Tralle <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 10/2/89 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA. <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />e 3. <br /> <br />Consider 9/25/89 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE SEPTEMBER 25. 1989. CITY <br />COUNCIL MINUTES. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4.1. Russ Anderson Building Expansion Update <br /> <br />Russ Anderson. Fire Chief. indicated that the Contractor for the building <br />expansion is on schedule and should have the building completed by <br />October 22. 1989. Mr. Anderson distributed a change order to the Council <br />in the amount of $3.563 for extra work that was not included in the <br />original contract. Mr. Anderson further stated that the estimated <br />completion cost of the project will be $335.000. He indicated that the <br />Council will be receiving additional change orders. Mr. Anderson stated <br />that the Contractors had run into a lot of extra excavation work which <br />was not anticipated in the original bid. <br /> <br />Pat Klaers. City Administrator. explained some of the extra items that <br />were not included in the original bid. The Council discussed some of <br />these items and felt that the Architect should have been able to <br />anticipate some of these costs in the original bid. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE CHANGE ORDER FOR THE FIRE <br />STATION ADDITION TO GREAT RIVER CONSTRUCTION AT A COST OF $3.563. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />
