<br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Elk River City Council Minutes <br />May 22, 1989 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Parcel 115-000-342306 owned by Elk River Machine Company/Jackson Avenue <br />Improvement. Ms. Johnson indicated that the owner of this parcel is <br />stating that the parcel is located by the peat bog and is undeveloped and <br />unused except for occasional storage. She indicated that he is <br />requesting that it be deferred from the assessment until developed. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 89-37, A RESOLUTION <br />DEFERRING ASSESSMENT ON PARCEL 115-000-342306 UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE <br />PROPERTY IS DEVELOPED.. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />9.1. Summer Party Guidelines <br /> <br />Tom Zerwas, Police Chief, indicated that he has drawn up a contract for <br />Broadway Bar and Pizza's summer parties which state the rules and <br />regulations that they must follow during such summer parties. He <br />indicated that he has spoken with the owner of Broadway Bar and Pizza and <br />has informed him that he will be criminally responsible during summer <br />party events. He stated that he has made Mr. Kurth aware of the <br />Council's concerns and has informed him that if there are problems <br />resulting from the summer parties that the Council will take further <br />action. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />It was the Council consensus that the Broadway Bar and Pizza's summer <br />party rules and regulations were acceptable provided they are approved by <br />the City Attorney. <br /> <br />9.2. Certificate of Correction to Plat <br /> <br />The City <br />correction <br />1984 the <br />indicated <br />action on <br /> <br />Administrator indicated that John Oliver is requesting a <br />to the plat of Camp Cozy 5th Addition. He indicated that in <br />plat was approved and contained a measurement error. He <br />that the City staff is recommending that the Council take <br />the correction. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE CERTIFICATE OF CORRECTION <br />TO THE PLAT OF ELK RIVER TOWNSHIP ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY PLAT :fI1. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />9.3. Chris Zerwas Representing Elk River Jaycees <br /> <br />Chris Zerwas approached the Council and indicated that she was <br />representing the Elk River Jaycees. Ms. Zerwas stated that the Elk River <br />Jaycees are sponsoring the first Miss Elk River Pageant and that the <br />candidate is going to be competing in the Miss Minnesota Pageant. She <br />indicated that the Elk River Jaycees are requesting the Council to set an <br />example of giving support to the Miss Elk River Pageant. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO DRAFT A PROCLAMATION IN REGARDS TO THE <br />MISS ELK RIVER PAGEANT AND ALSO TO SEND THE MISS ELK RIVER CANDIDATE <br />FLOWERS DURING HER. STAY IN AUSTIN WHILE IN THE MISS MINNESOTA PAGEANI'. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />
