City Council Minutes December 17, 1990 Page 12 The City Administrator indicated that E & 0 Tool and Plastics is contemplating the construction of a new facility to accommodate its growth and that the City is considering acquiring a two acre site owned by E & 0 Tool for the purpose of expanding the parkland area adjacent to Orono Park. He stated that the two acre site is bounded by Gary Street and Orono Road. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS WITH E & 0 TOOL FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO ACRES OF PROPERTY OWNED BY E & 0 TOOL WITH THE STIPULATION THAT FINAL APPROVAL MUST COME BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 9. Check Register COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE CHECK REGISTER. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 10. City Administrator Update The City Administrator distributed a memo from Terry Maurer regarding fees charged by Maier Stewart. He explained that the Investor's Club has had complaints regarding Terry Maurer's fees and that the letter is in response to these complaints. The City Administrator explained that the City will be doing more research at the John Curtis property and is considering filling and leveling the area and taking down the guardrail. Discussion was held by the City Council regarding the purchase of the Jenne property. After discussion regarding the purchase of the property it was the consensus of the Council that the City would still be interested in purchasing the site if the price were to remain near the original offer. 11. Adjournment There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
