<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Council Minutes <br />December 17, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 12 <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that E & 0 Tool and Plastics is <br />contemplating the construction of a new facility to accommodate its <br />growth and that the City is considering acquiring a two acre site owned <br />by E & 0 Tool for the purpose of expanding the parkland area adjacent <br />to Orono Park. He stated that the two acre site is bounded by Gary <br />Street and Orono Road. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND THE <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS WITH E & 0 <br />TOOL FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO ACRES OF PROPERTY OWNED BY E & 0 TOOL WITH <br />THE STIPULATION THAT FINAL APPROVAL MUST COME BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />9. Check Register <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE CHECK REGISTER. COUNCILMEMBER <br />HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />10. City Administrator Update <br /> <br />The City Administrator distributed a memo from Terry Maurer regarding <br />fees charged by Maier Stewart. He explained that the Investor's Club <br />has had complaints regarding Terry Maurer's fees and that the letter is <br />in response to these complaints. <br /> <br />The City Administrator explained that the City will be doing more <br />research at the John Curtis property and is considering filling and <br />leveling the area and taking down the guardrail. <br /> <br />Discussion was held by the City Council regarding the purchase of the <br />Jenne property. After discussion regarding the purchase of the <br />property it was the consensus of the Council that the City would still <br />be interested in purchasing the site if the price were to remain near <br />the original offer. <br /> <br />11. Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO ADJOURN <br />THE MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION.
