TO HOLD INTERVIEWS FOR THE REMAINING 7 PLANNING COMMISSION APPLICANTS. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING ON JANUARY 9, 1990, AT 7:00 P.M. TO CONDUCT PARK AND RECREATION INTERVIEWS. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. 5.1. Gambling Premise Permit for American Legion Post COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ADOP'l' RESOLUTION 90-70, A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PREMISE PERMIT FOR DAVIS, DARROW, MEYER AMERICAN LEGION POST #112. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. 5. Other Business The City Administrator informed the Council that the terms of Library Board members Daryl Bronniche and Ken Ringstad have expired and that both of these members have reapplied for another term. The City Administrator indicated that George Zabee's term on the Util i ties Commission has expired and that Mr. Zabee has requested reappointment to the Commission. The City Administrator indicated that Duane Kropuenske and Hank Duitsman have requested reappointment to the HRA. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO REAPPOINT DUANE KROPUENSKE TO THE HRA WITH TERM OF OFFICE TO EXPIRE ON 12/31/96 AND TO REAPPOINT HANK DUITSMAN TO THE HRA WITH TERM OF OFFICE TO EXPIRE ON 12/31/95. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. The City Administrator informed the Council that he had received a request from 1070 Radio in Monticello to sponsor some city advertisements that would run in conjunction with the broadcast of the Elk River School Band Concert. I t was the consensus of the City Council that this type of advertising should be sponsored by commercial establishments. The City Administrator informed the Council that the legal notices rate in the Star News is projected to increase 10% which is in accordance with State Law. He further indicated that the price of the newsletter is projected to increase due to population increase and that there will also be a $100 increase for the set up of the newsletter. It was the consensus of the Council to receive a quote from the Best Seller for legal notices and the City Newsletter.
