TO HOLD INTERVIEWS FOR THE <br />REMAINING 7 PLANNING COMMISSION APPLICANTS. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING ON JANUARY 9, <br />1990, AT 7:00 P.M. TO CONDUCT PARK AND RECREATION INTERVIEWS. <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />5.1. Gambling Premise Permit for American Legion Post <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ADOP'l' RESOLUTION 90-70, A RESOLUTION <br />APPROVING A PREMISE PERMIT FOR DAVIS, DARROW, MEYER AMERICAN LEGION <br />POST #112. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />5. Other Business <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the terms of Library <br />Board members Daryl Bronniche and Ken Ringstad have expired and that <br />both of these members have reapplied for another term. <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that George Zabee's term on the <br />Util i ties Commission has expired and that Mr. Zabee has requested <br />reappointment to the Commission. <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that Duane Kropuenske and Hank <br />Duitsman have requested reappointment to the HRA. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO REAPPOINT DUANE KROPUENSKE TO THE HRA <br />WITH TERM OF OFFICE TO EXPIRE ON 12/31/96 AND TO REAPPOINT HANK <br />DUITSMAN TO THE HRA WITH TERM OF OFFICE TO EXPIRE ON 12/31/95. <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that he had received a <br />request from 1070 Radio in Monticello to sponsor some city <br />advertisements that would run in conjunction with the broadcast of the <br />Elk River School Band Concert. I t was the consensus of the City <br />Council that this type of advertising should be sponsored by commercial <br />establishments. <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the legal notices rate <br />in the Star News is projected to increase 10% which is in accordance <br />with State Law. He further indicated that the price of the newsletter <br />is projected to increase due to population increase and that there will <br />also be a $100 increase for the set up of the newsletter. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to receive a quote from the Best <br />Seller for legal notices and the City Newsletter. <br />
