Call meetinj;( to order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order by Mayor Tralle at 6:45 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ~onsider 12/10/90 City Council Aj;(enda <br /> <br />Item 5.1, Premise Permit Renewal was added to the agenda. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE 12/10/90 COUNCIL AGENDA <br />AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Corr~ider Clean Up Day ~~solution <br /> <br />The City Administrator explained that the City intends to participate <br />in a State Grant sponsored by the County to finance a "clean up day" in <br />the City of Elk River. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 90-69, A RESOLUTION <br />RECOGNIZING THE INTENT TO HOLD A SPRING CLEAN UP DAY. COUNCILMEMBER <br />SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Revi~w Park and Recreation and Pla~nin~ Commission Applicants <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the deadline for Planning <br />Commission and Park and Recreation applications was December 7. He <br />stated that the City received 8 applications for Planning Commission <br />and 7 applications for the Park and Recreation Commission. The Council <br />discussed the fact that one of the applicants for the Planning <br />Commission is a real estate agent. Mayor Tralle stated that it is past <br />practice of the Council not to appoint realtors to the Planning <br />Commission and further that there is pending legislation to make it <br />mandatory in the State that realtors not be allowed to serve on <br />Planning Commissions. It was the consensus of the City Council to <br />contact Daryl Bronniche and inform him that his application would not <br />be considered for the Planning Commission due to his involvement in the <br />real estate profession. <br />
