COUNCILMEMBER <br />HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />6.4. OTHER <br /> <br />A. The City Administrator indicated that the Finance Director had <br />advised him that the check register need not be approved and can <br />be taken care at the next meeting. <br /> <br />B. The City Administrator updated the City Council on the agenda for <br />9/17/90 City Council meeting and that concerned citizens are <br />anticipated from the northeast section of the community regarding <br />the park plan. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />The golf course pending improvements at the club house were <br />discussed. It was noted that the City strongly desires a <br />permanent easement from the golf course to access Woodland Trails <br />Park and that an exchange of City services may be possible in <br />order obtain this permanent easement. The City Administrator <br />indicated that the Street Department may be able to assist the <br />golf club in its site preparation for the new club house in <br />exchange for this permanent easement. The Council indicated no <br />problems with this exchange of service for a permanent easement. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />D. The City Administrator noted that the Mayor or a Councilmember <br />si ts on the County Board of Canvasing and that this meeting is <br />scheduled for 10:00 on Friday morning, September 14, 1990. The <br />Mayor indicated that he cannot attend and requested that the Vice <br />Mayor attend. <br /> <br />E. The City Administrator noted that the 1990 annual meeting of the <br />Elk River Arts Council is scheduled for September 20, 1990. The <br />Mayor indicated that he cannot attend and requested that the Vice <br />Mayor attempt to attend on behalf of the City Council. <br /> <br />F. The City Administrator noted that the annual Chamber dinner is <br />scheduled for September 18, 1990. The City Administrator noted <br />his concern over the price of this dinner. It was stated that the <br />Chamber is not making any profit off this endeavor, but that the <br />expense has increased gradually over the years for this annual <br />dinner. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />The City Administrator distributed a copy of a letter to the owner <br />of the pawn shop located on Highway 10. This letter, from <br />Investigator Tom Tyler, indicated the City's displeasure with the <br />written reports that have been received. <br />
