Call Meetin~ to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call. and notice there of, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Consider 9/10/90 City Council A~enda <br /> <br />Councilmember Kropuenske requested to be added to the agenda as Item <br />6.5 to discuss the Evans Avenue assessments. The City Administrator <br />indicated that under 6.4 - Other, that a check register is being <br />requested to be considered. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS <br />AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Consider 8/27/90 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 8/27/90 CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />4.1. Q~en Mike-Historical Society ReQuest <br /> <br />Mr. John Kuester, President of the Sherburne County Historical Society, <br />and local resident, Bud Houlton, were present to discuss with the City <br />Council the Historical Society site selection process and proposal for <br />Elk River. <br /> <br />Mr. Bud Houlton who is representing the Elk River area in the site <br />selection process indicated that the Sherburne County Historical <br />Society is looking for a site to call its long term home. The Society <br />is looking at a site of at least ten acres. Mr. Houlton indicated that <br />Dominic Gospodar has offered to donate to the Historical Society some <br />property that he owns which is on the south side of Orono Lake and <br />Orono Road. <br /> <br />Mr. Houlton stated that the location of the Historical Society in Elk <br />River would be a tremendous benefit to the community, but that the <br />location of the long term home for the Historical Society is becoming <br />
