<br />City Council Minutes <br />July 16, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmgren stated that when this preliminary plat was <br />approved three years ago, much discussion was held by the Planning <br />Commission and the Council regarding the size of the lots and the <br />development of the land and it was decided that this was the most <br />reasonable way to have the land developed at that time. Councilmember <br />Holmgren stated he did not see the need for the developer to go through <br />the preliminary plat again. <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle stated he would like to see the changes plv~osed to their <br />preliminary plat reviewed by the staff and brought back to the Council <br />in one week. He stated that he would like to see the addi tional <br />conditions added to the final plat as drawn. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO GRANT AN EXTENSION TO THE PRELIMINARY PLAT <br />OF BARRINGTON HILLS WITH THE FINAL PLAT TO BE FILED WITHIN ONE YEAR, <br />AND THAT THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS BE ADDED TO THE FINAL PLAT. <br /> <br />1. THAT THE WATER SERVICE TO THE PROPOSED PLAT BE A 6 INCH SYSTEM AND <br />APPROVED BY THE CITY ENGINEER. <br /> <br />2. THAT THE ROAD THROUGH THE COMMERCIAL AREA BE 36 FEET WIDE WITH <br />CONCRETE CURB. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />3. THAT THE RESIDENTIAL PORTION OF THE PROPOSED ROAD BE 32 FEET WIDE <br />WITH CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER BUILT TO A 7 TON DESIGN. <br /> <br />4. THAT THE PROPOSED CUL-DE-SAC HAVE A 40 FOOT RADIUS TARRED AREA. <br /> <br />5. THAT A LETTER OF CREDIT IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS THAT <br />WOULD BE ACCEPTED BY THE CITY. <br /> <br />6. THAT DETAILED PLANS FOR SEWER AND WATER MUST BE DONE BY THE CITY <br />ENGINEER AT THE EXPENSE OF THE DEVELOPER. GRADING, STREET LIGHTS, <br />DRAINAGE, AND ROAD CONSTRUCTION MAY BE DONE THAT WAY AS WELL OR <br />SUPPLIED TO THE CITY FOR REVIEW PRIOR TO FINAL PLAT APPROVAL. <br /> <br />7. THAT THE NAME OF THE PROPOSED STREET BE 8TH STREET. <br /> <br />8. THAT THERE BE TWO ADDITIONAL FIRE HYDRANTS ADDED TO THE PLAT. <br /> <br />9. SEAL COATING OF THE ROADS WITH COSTS TO BE DETERMINED BY THE CITY <br />ENGINEER. <br /> <br />10. PARK DEDICATION FEE OF $350 PER LOT. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-1. <br />Councilmember Schuldt opposed. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE EXTENSION TO THE STREET <br />VARIANCE FOR THE MAXIMUM LENGTH OF A DEAD END ROAD REQUESTED BY R.E.P. <br />LTD. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br />5-0. <br /> <br />6.2. Variance Request Re~ardin~ Si~na~e by Snyder Auto Sales Public Hearin~ <br />
