COUNCILMEMBER <br />KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dobel indicated <br />permitted and conditional uses <br />favor of the motion. <br /> <br />that after further review of the <br />in the C-1 zone, he would now be in <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmgren stated that he has a concern regarding what <br />would happen to the property in the future if the property were sold. <br />He further indicated that he felt a C-2 zone was appropriate for the <br />area. <br /> <br />THE MOTION FAILED 3-2. Councilmembers Dobel, Kropuenske and Schuldt <br />voted in 'favor of the motion. Mayor Tralle and Councilmember Holmgren <br />voted against the motion. Motion defeated for lack of a 4/5 vote. <br /> <br />e 6.14 Qther <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf, Building and Zoning Administrator, indicated that staff is <br />recommending that another round of testing be done on the old City dump <br />next year. He indicated that the previous tests showed the <br />contaminants to be at the same level this year as they were last year. <br />He indicated that it was the City's hope that the levels would be lower <br />and, therefore, is requesting that testing take place again next year <br />to monitor the situation. It was the consensus of the City Council to <br />allow testing of the test wells located at the old City dump. <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf, Building and Zoning Administrator, informed the Council <br />that on Tuesday, July 17, at 7:00 p.m. at Vandenberge Junior High <br />lunchroom, there will be a joint meeting between the Elk River Planning <br />Commission and Planning Commissions and Town Boards of communi ties in <br />the surrounding area. Mr. Rohlf extended an invitation to the Council <br />to attend this meeting. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Che<;<l< Re~ister <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt questioned the check payable to the Arts <br />Council. The City Administrator indicated that the Council had <br />approved payment to the Arts Council up to $10,000, matching local <br />funds received by the Arts Council. Councilmember Kropuenske indicated <br />that the Arts Council is out soliciting individual businesses for <br />funds. The City Administrator indicated that the Finance Director had <br />received verification of donations in the amount of $3,000 and, <br />therefore, the check register contains this matching amount. <br />
