<br />City Council Minutes <br />May 6, ]991 <br /> <br />Page 10 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Counci 1 member Kropuenske indicated that he did not feel the proposed <br />location for the greenhouse was acceptable. He indicated it is in the <br />way of parking and felt that the greenhouse should be moved to the west <br />of the lot or not allowed at all. He fnrther indicated that the <br />Council has requested other temporary greenhouses in the City to be <br />moved to the ends of the parking areas so as not to cause congestion <br />with parking. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dietz concurred with Councilmember Kropuenske. <br /> <br />COllNCII.MEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ALLOW RON I S FOODS TO CONSTRUCT A <br />TEMPORARY GREENHOUSE FACILITY OF APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET BY 50 FEET AND <br />THAT THE GREENHOUSE IS TO BE LOCATED ON THE FAR WEST BORDER OF THE <br />PARKING LOT. COUNCTLMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />7.1 !lmate on District Wiqe Recreation Director <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Community Education Director <br />has provided the Counci 1 with information on a proposed area wide <br />recreation dj rector posi tion. He further indicated that at a March <br />joint Connci I and Park and Recreation Commission meeting, the Connell <br />indicated its support for the position and support for sharing the <br />expenses for the position. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to show continued general support <br />for the updated proposal. <br /> <br />7.3 <br /> <br />IlQ!!!'!L 0 f If<-q !!.!!cU z a tl.9n_=-lli 1] mar k Pro pe rt.x <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Schuldt indicated that the County Assessor has revisited the <br />Billmark property and suggested reappraising the property from $130,800 <br />to $118,000 for t.he 1991 assessment based on the high vacancy and the <br />rent reduction of the four-plex. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROpm~NSKE MOVED TO APPROVE <br />75-404-0122 FROM $130,800 TO $118,000 <br />COllNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />Conncilmember Holmgren abstained. <br /> <br />THE REEVALUATION OF PROPERTY <br />FOR THE 1991 ASSESSMENT. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0-1. <br /> <br />7.4 Qall Speei_al Connell Meetin~s <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />ON 5/13/91 FOLLOWING THE EDA MEETING AT CITY HALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF AN <br />AUDIT PRESENTATION. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON <br />5/22/91 FOR THE PURPOSE OF A MNDOT TOUR AND LUNCHEON. COUNCILMEMBER <br />DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCTLMEMRER DIETZ MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON <br />5/28/91 FOR THE PURPOSE OF A JOINT ELK RIVER/OTSEGO MEETING. <br />
