<br />City Council Minutes <br />February 25, 1991 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 91-4, AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTION 902, THE FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />6.2.Planning Commission Update <br /> <br />Stephen Rohlf, Building and Zoning Administrator, indicated that the <br />Planning Commission has been discussing the regulation of cluster home <br />developments and adult oriented land uses. He relayed the Planning <br />Commissions thoughts on these two issues. <br /> <br />6.3. Easement VacatiQn Correction Iraj Ezati <br /> <br />Janelle Szklarski stated that the Council previously granted an <br />easement vacation for Iraj Ezati, however, there was a typographical <br />error in the legal description at the time of recording. She indicated <br />that a new resolution must be adopted and rerecorded with the correct <br />legal description. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 91-11, A RESOLUTION <br />FOR VACATING A PORTION OF A DRAINAGE EASEMENT. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />6.4. Qther <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Stephen Rohlf indicated that the Elk River Landfill has invited the <br />Ci ty Council and Planning Commission to tour the landfill facili ty. <br />The Council concurred that they would tour the facility in the spring. <br /> <br />7.1. Librarv Board Annual Report <br /> <br />Mick Stoffers presented the 1991 Library Annual Report to the City <br />Council. Discussion took place regarding the need for an expansion to <br />the library due to the limited space. The Council questioned the <br />practical i ty of expanding when there is already a shortage in parking. <br />It was suggested that the Library Board consider acquiring more <br />property or to check into the parking needs and requirements prior to <br />expanding. Discussion was also held regarding the funding of the <br />expansion. The Council suggested that the Library Board seek <br />contributions for the project. <br /> <br />7.2. Fire Departm~nt R~nQrt/R!Jss Ande.l'-B9n <br /> <br />The Fire Department Report was not presented. <br /> <br />8.1. CAER Procla~ation <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Schuldt indicated that Elk River CAER is working together <br />with Minnesota Food Share to raise money and food donations to stock <br />food shelves in Minnesota during the month of March. Vice Mayor <br />Schuldt signed a proclamation which will he gj ven to CAER proc laiming <br />March as Minnesota Food Share Month. <br />
