<br />adjustments. Minor repair shall not include major mechanical and body work, painting, welding,
<br />storage of inoperable vehicles, or overhauling of engines.
<br />Motor vehicle specialty service station means a place where gasoline or other automobile engine fuel
<br />sales are prohibited. Lubricants for the operation of motor vehicles may be sold directly to the
<br />public. Specialty stations are intended for the sale of minor accessories and minor repairs for
<br />automobiles and small trucks. It is intended that specialty stations shall specialize in one or two
<br />allowed uses and not generalize in all allowed uses. Minor repair shall include tire servicing and
<br />repairs, replacement of mufflers, greasing and lubrication, minor motor adjustments, transmission
<br />services, brake repairs, and auto glass replacement. Minor repairs shall not include mechanical and
<br />body work, painting, welding, storage of inoperable vehicles, outside storage of overhauling engines.
<br />Multi-tenant facility means a commercial, or industrial, or residential facility with multiple tenants
<br />occupying a single structure.
<br />Municipal sewage system means the existing city sanitary system, as expanded, including collection
<br />and treatment facilities established by the subdivider to serve the subdivision.
<br />Mural means a graphic design or decorative image not designed or intended for advertising
<br />purposes, which is painted directly on an exterior wall surface.
<br />Nameplate means a nonelectric on-premises identification sign giving only the name and address
<br />of an occupant or group of occupants.
<br />Natural waterway means a natural passageway in the surface of the earth so situated and having
<br />such a topographical nature that surface or percolating water flows through it from other areas
<br />before reaching a final ponding area.
<br />Nonconforming sign means any sign which lawfully existed prior to June 18, 1990, the date of
<br />adoption of the ordinance from which this chapter is derived, but does not conform to the
<br />requirements of article VI, division 5, subdivision II, of this chapter.
<br />Nonconforming use, as used in article VI, division 13, of this chapter, means the use of a structure
<br />or land, or both, lawfully in existence on the effective date of the ordinance from which article VI,
<br />division 13, of this chapter is derived which does not conform to the requirements applicable
<br />thereto contained in article VI, division 13, of this chapter or which does not conform to provisions
<br />of article VI, division 13, of this chapter as subsequently amended.
<br />Nonconforming use, as used in article VI of this chapter, means the use of a structure or land, or
<br />both, lawfully in existence on September 4, 1980, which does not conform to the requirements
<br />applicable thereto contained in article VI of this chapter, or which does not conform to provisions
<br />of article VI of this chapter as subsequently amended.
<br />Nonprofit clubs, lodges, or halls means a not for profit association or organization dedicated to a
<br />particular interest or activity that holds regular meetings and that may gather for an event or
<br />regularly scheduled program. They shall not include sleeping facilities.

<br />Nursery means an establishment for the growth, display, and/or wholesale of plants, shrubs,
<br />trees, and materials used in indoor or outdoor planting.
<br />
<br />Obstruction means any dam, wall, wharf, embankment, levee, dike, pile, abutment, projection,
<br />excavation, channel modification, culvert, building, wire, fence, stockpile, refuse, fill, structure, or
<br />matter in, along, across, or projecting into any channel, watercourse, or regulatory floodplain which
