He doesn't want to be reported to, and would like to be <br /> involved in the process sharing that he wants to bring in other key park users with a <br /> different perspective. Recommends the public be involved in the process of <br /> improvements being added to park. <br /> 8.1 Recreation Manager's Update <br /> Mr. Benoit presented his staff report. Sharing highlights about the Activity Center's 2017 <br /> Member Annual Holiday Party. <br /> 8.2 Parks Superintendent's Update <br /> Mr. Sevcik presented his staff report, also discussing buckthorn removal. <br /> 9. Announcements <br /> Mr. Hecker stated there will be a work session in the new year about invasive species. <br /> Chair Anderson shared that Woodland Trails are being groomed but need more snow <br /> before opening. <br /> 10. Adjourn to Work session <br /> There being no further business, Chair Anderson adjourned the meeting of the Elk River <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission at 7:24 p.m. <br /> 1 1. Work session <br /> The work session meeting of the Elk River Parks and Recreation Commission was called <br /> to order at 7:33 p.m. by Chair Anderson. <br /> I 1.1 Trails Master Plan <br /> Mr. Sevcik led discussion regarding the Trails Master Plan. <br /> Trail areas Commission members discussed: <br /> • NW corridor has no trail connection going East/West.
