Parks&Recreation Commission Minutes Page 2 December 13,2017 5.2 Park Dedication — Miske Meadows Preliminary Plat Mr. Leeseberg presented his staff report. Chair Anderson asked what is the size of the property that we can take park dedication? The land developer stated it is 60 acres. Chair Anderson said he cannot make the decision without knowing how much land there is in the development. Moved by Commissioner Niziolek and seconded by Commissioner Sagan to recommend to City Council to accept park dedication to be paid in cash at a rate applicable when the subdivision is released for recording. The amount will be approximately$411,000. Motion carried 7-0. 5.3 Park Dedication — Raspberry Ridge Preliminary Plat Mr. Benoit presented his staff report. Chair Anderson asked to have an Ariel view of development in the future. Moved by Commissioner Ahlness and seconded by Commissioner Kallemeyn to recommend to City Council that park dedication for the plat of Raspberry Ridge be paid at the rate applicable when the subdivision is released for recording,which will equate to approximately$4277.79 in park dedication fees for three parcels along with recording a 30-foot trail easement along the entire north side of Lot 1. Motion carried 7-0. Chair Anderson gave an explanation of what Park Dedication is and how it ties into new developments.When new developments come to commission we have the option to take 10%of the land or a percentage of cash dedication per lot. The money is used to develop parks. 6. Discussion Items— None 6.1 Arena Project Update Commissioner Sagan presented and update.A plan will be presented to city council on Monday,Dec 18. Mr. Hecker stated the city hired RJM manager and they have brought in new ideas. 7. Parks and Recreation Director Update Mr. Hecker presented his staff report. Seeding was completed at WHHCA.
