.

.

.

Elk River City Council Minutes
December 7, 1992

Page 7

The City Administrator informed the Council ~hat the Fire Chief is
requesting to purchase the ten pagers which in October he requested to
purchase in 1993. He stated that the Fire Chief has been informed that
if the pagers are ordered prior to 1993, the City will receive a
discount.

Discussion was held by the Council regarding the fact that the pagers
were not a budgeted item for 1992 or 1993. Larry Farber suggested that
the Fire Chief review the possibility of a lease/purchase program for
the pagers.

The Council suggested that the Fire Chief research the cost of the
pagers versus leasing the pagers and bring the information back to the
Council for a decision.

The City Administrator informed the Council that the developers for the
commercial project on Jackson and Highway 169 and School street are
planning to hold a neighborhood informational meeting for the citizens
and have requested Councilmembers to attend. The developers have also
requested individual meetings with the Council. The developer has also
been scheduled to make a presentation to the Chamber of Commerce
Executive Board. The City Council declined the invitation to meet
individually with the developers but express a strong interest in
attending the neighborhood informational meeting.

9.

Adjournment

There being
THE MEETING.
CARRIED 5-0.

no further business, COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADJOURN
COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION.
