Lori Johnson requested permission to have a
consultant review the phone specs because of the technical nature of
the specifications.

It was the consensus of the Council to authorize Lori Johnson to have a
consultant review the phone specs at an amount not to exceed $750.00.

10.

Staff Updates

Bill Rubin, Economic Development Coordinator, informed the Council that
Howard Blomker from A. N. Johnson was present. Bill Rubin stated that
there is a stockpile of dirt on the parcel of property owned by the EDA
which Tescom is proposing to purchase. The EDA's obligation is to
remove the stockpiled material, and, in doing so, to correct a lot
along Triangle Road that may have poor soil conditions. It appears
that correcting an adjacent lot may not be practical. As a result,
another option may be to excavate the excess fill for other projects
that require additional material. He stated that Howard Blomker has
agreed to remove a portion of the fill for a project he is working on.
Bill Rubin indicated that Howard Blomker has a private party who is
interested in the fill and Mr. Blomker has agreed to grade the site in
a rough condition so the site will be ready for Tescom's construction.
This item, however, will be finalized at the EDA's October 12th meeting.

The City Council authorized Bill Rubin to proceed with the removal of
the fill.

8.
