She requested <br />the Council to approve the attached Resolution which adopts the <br />assessment roll for the Orono Cemetery improvements. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 92-98, A RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTING THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE ORONO CEMETERY <br />IMPROVEMENTS. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.5. Consider Resolution Adopting Garbage Assessment Roll <br /> <br />Lori Johnson provided the City Council with a list of property owners <br />who have an unpaid balance for their garbage bill. She indicated that <br />state law allows the City to assess each parcel with an unpaid bill as <br />of september 1 of each year. She stated that there are 139 parcels <br />being assessed for a total of $34,108.04. The totals will be reduced <br />if payments are received by November 30, 1992. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 92-99, A RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTING AND LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR UNPAID GARBAGE COLLECTION SERVICES <br />AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 1992. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.6. Consider Resolution Appointing Election Judges for November 3 General <br />Election <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 92-100, A RESOLUTION <br />APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE STATE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD <br />NOVEMBER 3, 1992. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.7. Call Board of Canvass Meeting <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED <br />CANVASS THE NOVEMBER 3, GENERAL <br />AT 5:00 P.M., AT THE ELK RIVER <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br /> <br />TO CALL A BOARD OF CANvASS MEETING TO <br />ELECTION RESULTS ON NOVEMBER 5, 1992, <br />CITY HALL. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED <br />5-0. <br /> <br />5.8. Consider Park and Recreation Recommendation on Softball Field <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator, informed the Council that on August 17, <br />the City Council approved a $3,000 expenditure to help pay the Capital <br />Improvement costs for the softball storage shed with the stipulation <br />that the Park and Recreation Commission also recommend payment of the <br />expenditure. He noted that on September 9, the Park and Recreation <br />Commission recommended approving the $3,000 expenditure for the <br />Softball Complex shed. <br /> <br />5.9. Consider Quotes for Liquor Store Screening of Dumpster <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Liquor Store Manager has <br />received quotes for the installation of fencing around the dumpster at <br />Northbound Liquor. <br />
