<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Elk River City Council Minutes <br />August 3, 1992 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO <br />ZONING SECRETARY/RECEPTIONIST. <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />ADVERTISE FOR A BUILDING AND <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE <br /> <br />- The City Administrator distributed a letter from Terry Maurer <br />regarding the Brindamour drainage situation. According to the <br />letter from the City Engineer, the drainage problem was caused by <br />Mr. Brindamour. It was the consensus of the City Council to <br />discuss this issue at a meeting where the City Engineer would be <br />present. <br /> <br />- The City Administrator informed the Council that the Business <br />would be held on October 25. It was the consensus of the <br />Council to rent a large booth inside the gym for the Expo. <br />space would be used for City Councilmembers and City Clerk. <br />booth would focus on election procedures. <br /> <br />ExpO <br />City <br />The <br />The <br /> <br />- The City Administrator informed the Council that a request has <br />been made from the Congressional Office of District '8 to use one <br />of the City's offices in the new City Hall. The office would be <br />staffed by a representative from Congressman Oberstar's office. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO OFFER THE CITY'S FRONT OFFICE, <br />WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR CABLE COMMUNICATIONS TO A <br />REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CONGRESSIONAL OFFICE OF DISTRICT '8 UNDER <br />THE FOLLOWING TERMS: <br /> <br />1. THAT A REASONABLE RENT BE AGREED UPON BY THE CITY <br /> ADMINISTRATOR AND A DISTRICT #8 REPRESENTATIVE. <br />2. THAT THERE BE A LEASE SIGNED FOR TWO YEARS SO THAT THE CITY <br /> CAN EVALUATE THE SPACE NEEDS AT THAT TIME. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br />5-0. <br /> <br />- The City Administrator informed the Council that a Concept Review <br />meeting had been held with John Weicht. The City Administrator <br />updated the Council on the Concept Review meeting. <br /> <br />9. Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO <br />ADJOURN THE MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION.
