Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 8:00 p.m., following the EDA <br />meeting, by Mayor Tralle. <br /> <br />2. Consider 5/11/92 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt added 6.1., Councilmember Schuldt Updates, to the <br />agenda. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE 5/11/92 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS <br />AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consider Proclamation In Honor of Scholarship Week <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle proclaimed May 15 to May 24 as Dollars for Scholars <br />Fundraising week in Elk River. <br /> <br />5. Consider Resolution Initiating Eminent Domain Proceedings for <br />Acquisition of Right-of Way Property (Main street/T.H. 169 Improvement <br />Project) <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator, informed the Council that the Main <br />Street/T.H. 169 Intersection Improvement Project is currently out for <br />bids. He indicated that the City has received appraisals for the three <br />properties (two owners) which are required for the project and is in <br />the process of negotiating with the property owners. Right-of-way on <br />the south side of Main street is needed to be purchased by the City <br />with MSA funds. He stated that in an effort not to delay the <br />construction activities, staff is requesting that the City Council <br />initiate eminent domain proceedings for right-of-way and easement <br />acquisition of these three properties in case negotiations are not <br />successful. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 92-38, A RESOLUTION <br />RELATING TO FINDING OF PUBLIC PURPOSE FOR THE ACQUISITION OF EASEMENT <br />AND RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR STREET AND SIGNALIZATION IMPROVEMENTS FOR MAIN <br />
