Conditional Use Permit/Accessory Building <br />Occupation/David Erbstoesser/Public Hearing <br /> <br />Addition <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Home <br /> <br />Janelle Szklarski indicated that David and Ardyce Erbstoesser are <br />requesting a conditional use permit for a home occupation. She stated <br />the home occupation consists of making small wood craft items and <br />selling these items at local craft shows and consignment stores. <br /> <br />Janelle Szklarski stated that the Erbstoesser's original request <br />consisted of a request for an accessory building addition of 1,024 <br />square feet to their existing building. She stated that this portion <br />of the request has been withdrawn by the Erbstoessers. <br /> <br />Bob Minton, Planning Commission Representative, indicated that the <br />Planning Commission recommended approval of the request as amended. <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle opened the public hearing. There being no one for or <br />against the matter, Mayor Tralle closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED APPROVED A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />DAVID AND ARDYCE ERBSTOESSER AT 11796 1915T AVE NW walCH WOULD ALLOW A <br />HOME OCCUPATION OF CONSTRUCTION OF SMALL WOOD CRAFT ITEMS WITH THE <br />CONDITION THAT THE OPERATION BE SUBJECT TO STANDARDS B THROUGH K FOR A <br />PERMITTED HOME OCCUPATION AS OUTLINED IN THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES ON <br />PAGE 9.85, AND FURTHER IF THE BUSINESS GOES BEYOND THESE STANDARDS, IT <br />WOULD BE NECESSARY TO REVIEW THE BUSINESS THROUGH THE CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT PROCESS. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />5.3. Conditional Use Permit/Amendment <br />Billiard/Public Hearing <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />Previous <br /> <br />CUP/Players <br /> <br />Club <br /> <br />Janelle Szklarski stated that Players Club Billiards is requesting an <br />amendment to their conditional use permit which would extend the hours <br />of operation on Saturday mornings to 3:00 a.m. on a trial basis. <br />Janelle Szklarski explained that the original request to the Planning <br />Commission was to extend the hours of the billiard hall from 1:00 a.m. <br />to 4:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings. She indicated that this <br />request would also require an amendment to Section 712 of the City <br />ordinance relating to billiard halls. <br /> <br />Bob Minton, Planning Commission Representative, indicated that the <br />Planning Commission voted to deny the request to extend the hours of <br />business to 4:00 p.m. on saturdays and Sundays. He stated that some of <br />the reasons for denial were due to complaints from the Police Chief <br />listed in a memo from the Chief, the effect on the Guardian Angels, and <br />outside nuisances. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Janelle Szklarski explained that after the Planning Commission <br />recommended denial, Mr. Wilson, of the Players Club, requested to <br />reduce his original request to a trial basis and that he be allowed to <br />remain open until 3:00 a.m. on Saturdays only. She stated that Mr. <br />Wilson indicated that he would have two supervisors working during this <br />
