<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Council Minutes <br />March 23, 1992 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Russ Anderson, Fire Chief, and Steve Ditthenner, Ambulance Coordinator, <br />presented the Fi re Department annual report to the Ci ty Counci L Russ <br />Anderson thanked the City Council for their involvement in the <br />development of the Health Care Commission. Steve Dittbenner indicated <br />that the Commission has met a couple of times and he is very pleased <br />with the results of the Commission. Steve Dittbenner indicated that he <br />is very comfortable with the City of Elk River's ambulance service at <br />the present time. He stated that the City of Elk River has excellent <br />coverage with the Elk River Ambulance Service and Health One working as <br />a dual capacity. Steve Dittbenner explained that the main issue facing <br />the Elk River Amhulance at the present time is interdepartmental <br />commun j cation. He stated that he is in the pr'ocess of implementing a <br />plan to address this issue. <br /> <br />Russ Anderson indicated that there are currently openings on the Fire <br />Department for fire fighters. He indicated that the Fire Department <br />has received many applications anel wi 1 1 be reviewing the appl ications <br />Rhortly. <br /> <br />Russ Anelerson indicated that he would like the COllnci 1 to consieler <br />arlrling a full time position in 199~ for truck maintenance anrl starting <br />an inspection program for existing apartments and commercial property. <br /> <br />The Fi re Chief i ndi caterl that fire calls and amhulance caUs were down <br />in 1991. <br /> <br />The City Council thanked the Fi re Chief and Ambulance Coordinator for <br />their presentation. <br /> <br />9. Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO AD.TOURN <br />THE MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION.
