COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.9. Addition of Plastics to the Curbside Recycling Program <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle indicated that the City is proposing to add plastics to <br />the curbside recycling program. The City Administrator indicated that <br />the City has received SCORE Funds which will be used to help finance <br />the plastic recycling program. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT <br />AMENDING SECTION 602 REFUSE AND GARBAGE. <br />THE MOTION. Other - Remodeling Building Permit Fees <br /> <br />This item was tabled by the City Council until a later meeting. <br /> <br />6.1. Arts Council Matching Grant Update <br /> <br />Marcie Babcock was present representing the Arts Council. She <br />distributed a financial report showing that the Arts Council had <br />matched the additional funds requested by the City in order to receive <br />$10,000 from the City. The report showed that the Arts Council's goal <br />was to raise $1,600 by the end of January, 1992, and indicated that <br />they had raised $1,630. Marcie Babcock stated that she had <br />Representatives from the Arts Council Board present. The <br />Representatives were Kathy Warneke, Cindy Fredrickson, and Cindy Soltis. <br /> <br />Kathy Warneke questioned whether there would be <br />for the Arts Council to operate from the new <br />indicated that if this were not possible, the <br />looking at other sites. <br /> <br />a room for an office <br />City Hall building. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.3. 1992 Fire Contracts <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the Fire Contracts for <br />Burns and Big Lake Townships would remain the same as the 1991 <br />contracts. He indicated that Otsego's Contract is changed in the fact <br />that the Elk River Fire Department service area has increased. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1992 FIRE CONTRACTS WHICH <br />INCLUDE BURNS TOWNSHIP, BIG LAKE TOWNSHIP, AND THE CITY OF OTSEGO. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION.
