33 <br />Elk River Ice Arena and Lion John Weicht Park Facilities <br />Part IV: Project Examples, Supplemental Information <br />VALUE <br />$30,410,000 <br />PROJECT <br />ASSIGNMENT <br />CMar <br />ARCHITECT <br />292 Design Group <br />RJM Construction was selected by the City of Shakopee to oversee construction <br />of a new two-sheet ice arena. The project is an extension to the Shakopee <br />Community Center and includes a remodel of the existing recreational facility. <br />The project was completed in multiple phases, beginning with construction of the <br />ice arena. Renovations to the existing facility include changing the current ice <br />arena to an aquatic center, enhancing the fitness center and studios and adding <br />an indoor play area, senior lounge and large community room.
