.

.

.

Elk River Board of Review Minutes
April 29, 1993

Page 3

Jerry Kritzeck informed the Council that other homes in the same area
have been raised in valuation. He stated there has been an increase of
about $8,000 for the last two years to Mr. Hetrick's home. He
indicated that the land has increased, but that the County Assessor's
Office has taken into consideration the location of Mr. Hetrick's land
and has given him the lowest valuation in the plat due to the location
of his home. Jerry Kritzeck further stated that Mr. Hetrick has
received a $5,000 nuisance decrease in his valuation a number of years
ago. He indicated that this was recently eliminated due to the high
market volume and the value of the homes in the surrounding area.
Jerry Kritzeck stated that the County Assessor's Office cannot lower
the valuation of a home based on the types of grievances Mr. Hetrick
has. He further indicated that Mr. Hetrick is being given $9,127.00 in
depreciation at the present time.

COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ
THAT THE PROPERTY
REMAIN FOR PARCEL #
MOTION.
