Review 3/29 County Board/City Council Meeting Agenda <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman discussed a concern the County Fair Board had regarding <br />the possibility of the City purchasing County land for a road and also <br />the exchange of existing parking lot land for land on the west side. <br />The Council discussed different options regarding the County parking <br />lot and land for the road that must be purchased. <br /> <br />The City Administrator distributed the draft agenda for the 3/29 County <br />Board/City Council meeting. <br /> <br />7.3. Other Business <br /> <br />Councilmember Scheel questioned the City's ordinance regarding <br />topsoil. She stated she would like the City Council to adopt an <br />ordinance which addresses the issue of topsoil being replaced. It was <br />the consensus of the Council to refer this issue to the Planning <br />Commission for review. <br /> <br />7.2. April/May Meeting Schedule <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO DECLARE THE WEEK OF MARCH 22, 1993 AS ELK <br />RIVER BASKETBALL WEEK. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO CALL THE FOLLOWING MEETINGS: <br /> <br />- MARCH 30 - CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO DISCUSS THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />PROGRAM - 6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />- APRIL 13 - CITY COUNCIL MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF ANNUAL REPORTS <br />- 6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />- MAY 10 - CITY COUNCIL MEETING FOLLOWING THE EDA MEETING TO DISCUSS <br />THE CITY AUDIT <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7.5. Staff Updates <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the City Engineer is actively <br />working on the storm drainage plan and will present information to the <br />Council some time during the month of May. <br /> <br />The City Engineer updated the Council on progress regarding the plans <br />for expansion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. He stated he is in <br />the process of analyzing three different types of technology for <br />treatment and expansion. He indicated that the Council will be <br />reviewing the expansion size and service area, and the technology for <br />treatment. Following Council review, the Council should plan to <br />discuss the issue of sharing the WWTS with the City of Otsego. <br />
