<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />city Council Minutes <br />March 22, 1993 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />The City Administrator stated that the City Council recently authorized <br />a letter to the Department of Urban Development requesting an <br />adjustment to Sherburne County's single family mortgage insurance <br />limits to reflect those limits of the Twin Cities metro area. He <br />stated that prior to Sherburne County's limits being changed, Sherburne <br />County must be designated as part of the Twin Cities MSA. He indicated <br />that staff is requesting the Council to adopt a resolution supporting <br />Sherburne County's designation in the Twin cities MSA. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 93-12, A RESOLUTION <br />SUPPORTING THE DESIGNATION OF SHERBURNE COUNTY AS PART OF THE TWIN <br />CITIES METROPOLITAN STATISTICAL AREA. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.2. Plant a Tree Day <br /> <br />Phil Hals, Street <br />Council to consider <br />reimbursement of <br />area. The Council <br />should be limited. <br /> <br />Superintendent, stated that he is requesting the <br />offering a program which would allow citizens a <br />$25 for trees that are planted close to the boulevard <br />stated that the number of trees allowed per citizen <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE <br />OUTLINED IN THE 3/15/93 MEMO FROM THE <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> <br />THE PLANT A TREE PROGRAM AS <br />STREET/PARK SUPERINTENDENT. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.3. Pay Estimates for City Hall <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL MOVED TO APPROVE PAY ESTIMATE #8 IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$178,464.15 TO BOR-SON CONSTRUCTION. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.5. Purchase of City Water Tower Site and Selling of City Property <br /> <br />The City Administrator stated that at the last City Council meeting he <br />was directed to continue to negotiate with Mr. Foster regarding the <br />purchase of land for a water tower site and for the selling of the city <br />property to Mr. Foster (along Highway 169, north of the MnDOT garage). <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that Mr. Foster is <br />proposing that the City sell the property on Highway 169 to him for <br />$15,000, and that the City purchase the one acre site for the water <br />tower from him for $10,000. The City Administrator reviewed the terms <br />of the agreement regarding access to the water tower site and the legal <br />survey work whiCh is required. He stated that according to Mr. <br />Foster's proposal, the City would be responsible for the legal and <br />survey work of the future road but the City would not pay for the <br />clearing of the trees.
