He further indicated that if the grant would <br />include the purchase of the County Administration building, he may <br />reconsider his opposition. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmgren stated that this issue was a conflict of <br />interest for himself as he was a County employee and, therefore, he <br />would offer no discussion on the matter. <br /> <br />Councilmember Scheel stated that she would like to see the old <br />courthouse preserved, but does not want the City involved monetarily. <br /> <br />Councilmember Farber indicated he would consider looking into this <br />request. <br /> <br />After discussion by the Council, it was the consensus that the Council <br />would first like to receive a formal request from the County regarding <br />this issue. <br /> <br />MAYOR DUITSMAN MOVED TO REQUEST THAT THIS ITEM BE BROUGHT BACK TO THE <br />COUNCIL AT THE MARCH 8, 1993, MEETING, WITH A FORMAL REQUEST FROM THE <br />COUNTY FOR THE CITY TO CONSIDER SPONSORING THE GRANT. COUNCILMEMBER <br />DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0-2. Councilmembers <br />Holmgren and Scheel abstained. <br /> <br />7.1. Wastewater Treatment System Annual Report <br /> <br />Darrell Mack presented the City of Elk River Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />1992 Annual Report. <br /> <br />7.2. Administration Annual Report <br /> <br />Sandra Thackeray, City Clerk, presented the 1992 Administration Annual <br />Report. <br /> <br />8. Staff Updates <br /> <br />The City Administrator gave several staff updates pertaining to <br />upcoming Council meeting agenda items. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmgren questioned whether the Council was interested in <br />having Ty Bischoff give a presentation regarding the responsibilities <br />of the Board of Review. It was the consensus that the Council would be <br />interested in a presentation from Mr. Bischoff. <br />
