CHECK REGISTER - APPROVED <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4.1 . Chamber of Commerce update on buildina proiect for Main Street and Hiahwav <br />10 site <br /> <br />Duane Kropuenske representing the Chamber of Commerce addressed the City <br />Council regarding this issue. He informed the Council that the office, which has <br />been donated by Dennis Chuba, must be moved next week. He stated that the <br />Chamber is waiting for a final site plan from the City Engineer. Mr. Kropuenske <br />requested that the site plan be completed as soon as possible and also <br />requested that City Staff locate the site for the placement of the building. He <br />stated that a landscaping plan will be presented to the Council for final <br />approval. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />The Council discussed the safety factor of having an empty building located on <br />the property. Duane Kropuenske indicated that the house could be temporarily <br />fenced. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding the area previously used as a park and ride. It was <br />indicated that the site has the potential of becoming a permanent park and ride <br />location depending on the desire of the City and negotiations between MnDOT <br />and the City. Mr. Kropuenske indicated that the Chamber has no concerns <br />about other uses of the site as long as it is compatible and flows with the traffic. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ALLOW THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO <br />MOVE THE BUILDING TO THE LOCATION AT MAIN STREET AND HIGHWAY 10 AND <br />THAT STAFF BE ALLOWED TO SITE THE LOCATION FOR THE BUILDING AS SOON AS THE <br />SITE PLAN IS COMPLETED, AND FURTHER THAT TEMPORARY FENCING BE PROVIDED BY <br />THE CHAMBER. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4.2. Citv Hall Proiect Update <br /> <br />This item was withdrawn from the agenda. <br /> <br />4.8. <br /> <br />Consider auotes for Fire Department copv machine <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator, indicated that the Fire Chief has received two <br />quotes for a copy machine to be used by the Fire Department. The Fire Chief <br />recommended the purchase of the lowest quote for a (Toshiba 1710 from <br />Minnesota Copy Systems at $3,018) with the option to purchase the sorter at a <br />later date. The City Administrator indicated that the money for the purchase of <br />the machine would come out of the Fire Department Equipment Reserve <br />account. <br />
