<br />City Council Minutes <br />March 21,1994 <br /> <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 94-23, A RESOLUTION <br />APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING THE ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR BIDS IN THE MATTER OF THE INTERIM WWTP IMPROVEMENT OF 1994. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />8.2. <br /> <br />Consider Hartman drainaae and construction easement and awardina the <br />Deerfield 3rd drainaae improvement proiect <br /> <br />Terry Maurer indicated that the low bid for the storm drainage improvements in <br />the Deerfield 3rd area was submitted by W.B. Miller, Inc., in the amount of <br />$122,307. He further indicated that staff has been negotiating with Mr. Steve <br />Hartman for an easement to cross his property in Royal Oaks Ridge for the outlet <br />to the storm drainage improvement. The negotiations have been completed <br />and have resulted in a change order which extends the storm sewer pipe across <br />Mr. Hartman's property outletting to the wetland south of his home. The total <br />increase in cost of this change order is $16, 637. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding the cost of the acquiring the easement from Mr. <br />Hartman. It was requested that staff try to acquire the easement at the lowest <br />possible cost, not to exceed $10,000 and under the same conditions as reviewed <br />by the Council at its 1-8-94 worksession. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO OFFER MR. HARTMAN A MAXIMUM OF <br />$10,000 FOR THE EASEMENT. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 94-24, A RESOLUTION <br />ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT IN THE MATTER OF <br />THE DEERFIELD 3RD STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT OF 1994 - [3/21/94] <br /> <br />8.3. Wine and 3.2% On-sale beer license for LaRose's Pizza & Pasta <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE A WINE AND ON-SALE 3.2% BEER <br />LICENSE FOR JAMES AND MARLENE LAROSE (LAROSE'S PIZZA AND PASTA) 508 E. <br />FREEPORT AVENUE. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />8.5. Consider reauest bv fire compensation task force for approval to hire an actuarial <br />to work on benefit proiections <br /> <br />MAYOR DUITSMAN MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT COMPENSATION <br />TASK FORCE TO INTERVIEW AND HIRE A CONSULTANT TO PERFORM THE ACTUARIAL <br />WORK NECESSARY TO PROVIDE ENDING PENSION ACCOUNT BALANCES AT A COST <br />NOT TO EXCEED $1,000. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />8.6. <br /> <br />East Trunk Hiahwav 10 Feasibility Studv <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Terry Maurer, City Engineer, reviewed the proposed study area for the East Trunk <br />Highway 10 feasibility study.
