Consider Callina November 6, 1995, Council Meetina for 5:00 P.M. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL ON NOVEMBER 6 AT 5 P.M. TO DISCUSS REGULAR COUNCIL BUSINESS. <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.5. Consider Resolution Approvina Assessment Roll for Elk Hills Drive and Dodae <br />Avenue Improvements <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Lori Johnson distributed a revised resolution for the <br />Council to consider. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 95-71, ADOPTING <br />FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE DODGE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5- <br />O. <br /> <br />5.7. <br /> <br />Consider Mechanical Service Contract for Library and City Hall <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the city has received quotes <br />from two companies for mechanical maintenance services for the library and <br />city hall. He indicated that Building Official Cliff Skogstad is recommending that <br />the city contract with York International at a yearly amount of $3,988 to provide <br />these services. City Council discussion pursued regarding the services which <br />will be provided versus the services that are not included in the agreement. The <br />Council concluded that the city should enter into the agreement for one year <br />and report back to the Council at that time. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ENTER INTO A SERVICE CONTRACT WITH <br />YORK INTERNATIONAL IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,988 FOR MECHANICAL SERVICES FOR <br />THE LIBRARY AND CITY HALL SUBJECT TO REVIEW IN ONE YEAR. COUNCILMEMBER <br />SCHEEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.9. Update on Board and Commission Members Whose Terms will be Expirina <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO EXTEND THE PARK AND RECREATION TERM FOR <br />LANA HUBERTY FOR THREE YEARS TO EXPIRE ON DECEMBER 31, 1998. <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to advertise for Planning Commission <br />members, Library Board members, and Utilities Commission members. It was <br />further the consensus to review the applications on file for the Park and <br />Recreation Commission from when Lana Huberty was appointed. <br /> <br />5.10. <br /> <br />Consider Purchase Aareement for Cass Property <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers reviewed the 10/30/95 staff memo regarding the <br />city's attempt to purchase 115.65 acres in the southeast part of the community. <br />He indicated that this property is located directly south of the 120 acres which <br />
