<br />Elk River City Council Minutes Page 4 <br />September 25, 1995 <br />Update on the Riverview HeiQhts Neighborhood Meetina, Letter, and Survey <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Terry Mauer, City Engineer stated he and Pat Klaers had discussed sending out a <br />sewer and water questionnaire/informational letter to get feedback from <br />residents. If there is any sign of interest for an improvement project, an <br />informational hearing will be scheduled. <br /> <br />Update on the Comprehensive Plan, City Lono Ranoe Transportation Plan, and <br />Sherburne County Transportation Plan <br /> <br />Terrry Mauer, City Engineer discussed the issues and options related to the City <br />Long Range Transportation Plan. The Council stated that it would like a staff <br />recommendation on transportation issues as part of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />The Council discussed scheduleing a Comprehensive Plan public hearing for <br />November 27, 1995. <br /> <br />Update on the Status of the UPA Sewer Bills <br /> <br />Lori Johnson, Assistant City Administrator updated the Council on the UPA sewer <br />bill. UPA estimated 35,000 gallons to be used but the City had billed UPA for <br />50,000 gallons. The City then had a flow meter put in with a computer graph <br />and it was found that UPA had used 495,000 gallons per month. UPA had not <br />yet paid their summer bills. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Update on the Status of the Computer Software Proorams for the Plannino and <br />Buildino/Zonina Departments <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf, Building/Zoning Administrator updated the Council on the new <br />computer software which has been installed for the Planning and <br />Building/Zoning Departments and the employees have been trained. It appears <br />that the City is going to be able to use the County tax records to get the data <br />base. Mayor Duitsman would like to see a virus check done on the modem. <br />Steve Rohlf indicated he would like to see this up and running by December 1, <br />1995. Suggestion was made to have staff work overtime to input data or to hire <br />a software technician. <br /> <br />Update on the Status of Code Enforcement Activities <br /> <br />Kendra Lindahl, Zoning Assistant handed out a zoning code enforcement sheet. <br />Kendra will update this every month for the Council. <br /> <br />Update on the Inventory of City Owned Properties <br /> <br />Kendra Lindahl, Zoning Assistant handed out an index of City owned property <br />and updated the Council. Kendra has been working on a book pertaining to all <br />City owned property and reviewed a map showing the location of the City <br />parcels. <br /> <br />Update on the Environmental Status of the Custom Motors Operation <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf. Building/Zoning Administrator updated the Council on the phase II <br />environmental audit for Custom Motors. Council recommends that we help <br />Custom Motors relocate if possible. <br />
