The city engineer suggested <br />putting a pedestrian crossing sign at the location. <br /> <br />7.3. <br /> <br />Ordinance Amendment Reauest (PUD) by City of Elk River, Public Hearina, Case <br />No. OA 95-6 <br /> <br />City Planner Steve Ach indicated that the City of Elk River is requesting to amend <br />sections of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to Planned Unit Developments. <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman opened the public hearing. There being no one for or against <br />the matter, Mayor Duitsman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 95-16, AN <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 900.12(16), PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT, OA 95- <br />6. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7.4. <br /> <br />Ordinance Amendment Reauest (Screened Outdoor Storaae) by City of Elk River. <br />Public Hearina, Case No. OA 95-7 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Planning Assistant Gary Schmitz indicated that the City of Elk River is requesting an <br />ordinance amendment which would amend Section 900.12, Permitted, <br />Accessory, Conditional Uses by District. He indicated that the amendment would <br />include changing screened outdoor storage areas from a permitted use to a <br />conditional use in both the 11, Light Industrial and 12, Medium Industrial zoning <br />districts. The amendment would also consist of requiring that outdoor storage <br />areas be accessory to a principle use. <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman opened the public hearing. There being no one for or against <br />the matter, Mayor Duitsman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT4lQRDINANCE 95-17, AN <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 900.12, PERMITTED, ACCESSORY, AND <br />CONDITIONAL USES BY DISTRICT, OF THE ELK RIVER CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />RELATING TO SCREENED OUTDOOR STORAGE AREAS, CASE NO. OA 95-7. <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO CALL AN EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL TO DISCUSS PENDING LITIGATION PERTAINING TO THE EARL HOHLEN <br />PROPERTY. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />The Council recessed at 8:45 p.m. and reconvened at 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />7.6. <br /> <br />Discussion on Housinq Maintenance Ordinance Proposal <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The draft Housing Maintenance ordinance was presented by Building and Zoning <br />Administrator Steve Rohlf, Building Official Cliff Skogstad, Fire Chief Bruce West, <br />and Police Chief Tom Zerwas. The presenters of the draft ordinance reviewed <br />issues of concern as listed in the memo to the Mayor and City Council dated July <br />18,1995. <br />
