<br />Board of Review Minutes <br />May 10, 1995 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER Dim MOVED THAT THE PROPERTY VALUE FOR PARCEL 75-128- <br />4305 REMAIN AT 43,600. MAYOR DUITSMAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />3. Nancy Boyer - 75-432-0236 <br /> <br />Nancy Boyer stated that her property was valued at $91 .900. She indicated that <br />this was very high and that she would not be able to sell the property for that <br />amount. She indicated that the location of her property affects the property <br />value. She stated that there is Section H housing across the street and duplexes <br />on both sides. <br /> <br />Jerry Kritzeck researched comparable slab home sales. Assessor Kritzeck also <br />informed Ms. Boyer that her assessment is based on square footage. <br /> <br />MAYOR DUITSMAN MOVED TO REDUCE THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF PARCEL 75- <br />432-0236 TO $90,000. COUNCILMEMBER Dim SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Tom Hiosaa -75-428-0610 <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Tom Hipsag stated that he felt the assessed valuation of his property was too high <br />($91.900). The Assessor indicated that the value of the building has remained <br />constant since 1990 and that the property has increased by $1.500 since 1994. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER Dim MOVED THAT THE PROPERTY VALUE FOR PARCEL 75-428- <br />0610 REMAIN AT $91,900. COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />5. Rolland and Marnette Barthel - 75-472-0145 <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. Barthel questioned why the market valuation for their property has <br />increased. Assessor John Cullen indicated that the entire plat was totally <br />reassessed. He explained that due to the high amount of the reassessment, the <br />increase had to be split out over a three year period. He stated that the actual <br />total increase for 1995 was $2.000 for the lot. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED THAT THE PROPERTY VALUE FOR PARCEL 75-428- <br />0610 REMAIN AT $113,800. COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />County Assessor Ty Bischoff updated the Board of Review on "This Old House" law. <br />He indicated that he would be contacting the City Building Department to <br />discuss implementation procedures. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Assessor Ty Bischoff updated that Board of Review on the Findings of Fact and <br />Order for Judgment for the following tax court cases: <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />· Steven Johnson v. County of Sherburne <br />· Cyril Lenzmeier v. County of Sherburne <br />· Allan Nadeau v. County of Sherburne <br />
