Consider City of Elk River Ordinance Amendment to Section 900.30 - Landscaoina and Screenina City Planner Steve Ach provided background information on this proposal. Mayor Duitsman opened the public hearing. There being no one for or against the matter, Mayor Duitsman closed the public hearing. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE ORDINANCE 95-3, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 900.30 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO LANDSCAPING AND SCREENING. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-1. Councilmember Scheel opposed. 7.12. Uodate on Auto Mall Site Plan Modifications. Case No. CU 94-11 City Planner Steve Ach provided background information on this request. Additionally, a 2/22/95 letter from MnDOT to the applicant, John Weicht. was distributed. The City Council indicated its concern over the appearance of the Highway 169 corridor and with this request coming to the Council so late in the approval process. e COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO DENY THE REQUEST TO REMOVE PINE TREES ALONG HIGHWAY 169 NEAR THE AUTO MALL. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0-1. Councilmember Scheel abstained. 7.15. Uodate on Office Buildina in Business Park City Planner Steve Ach provided an update on the proposed office building in the Business Park. 9. Staff Uodates ,There were no staff updates. 10. Adiournment There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO ADJOURN THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE Cn-Y COUNCIL. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
