Enerav City/ACE Uodate <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing updated the council on the ACE Committee and its relation <br />with Energy City and the City of Elk River. She noted that the ACE <br />Committee does not control the funds for Energy City nor does the <br />Committee .know who owns Energy City. She stated that the ACE <br />Committee is looking for some restructuring. She asked the City Council for <br />comments regarding the City of Elk River's commitment to Energy City. It <br />was the consensus of the City Council that Steve Rohlf, the city's liaison for <br />Energy City, be present to give the council more information regarding this <br />issue. Mayor Klinzing suggested that this be a workshop topic. <br /> <br />7. Staff Uodates <br /> <br />There were no staff updates. <br /> <br />8.1. Call Executive Session Meetina of the City Council <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing called an Executive Session of the City Council under Section <br />471.705, subd 1 d (c) for preliminary consideration of allegations or charges against <br />an employee. <br /> <br />8.2. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing recessed the council meeting to go into Executive Session at 8:07 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />8.3. Executive Session of the City Council held. <br /> <br />8.4. Reconvene Reaular City Council Meetina <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing reconvened the regular meeting of the City Council at 8:40 p.m. <br /> <br />8.5. Summarization of Conclusions Reaardina Emolovee Evaluation <br /> <br />COUNCllMEMBER THOMPSON MOVED TO TERMINATE BRIAN JOHNSON AS <br />WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM OPERATOR BASED ON RECOMMENDATION OF THE <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND BASED ON INFORMATION PRESENTED TO THE CITY <br />COUNCil IN ORAL AND WRITTEN FORM DURING THE EXECUTIVE SESSION AND THAT <br />TERMINATION IS EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. COUNCllMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />9.
