<br />Now, therefore, be it resolved as follows: <br /> <br />1. That cities, counties and townships through which the Corridor extends and where <br />possible station locations have been identified are encouraged to undertake planning <br />studies, adopt official land use controls and take such other actions as may be necessary to <br />prevent the planning and development of incompatible land use and development during <br />the project study period and to maximize the development of compatible land use <br />following the completion of the project development analysis. <br /> <br />2. That cities, counties and towns within the Corridor continue the process of planning and <br />constructing transportation improvements within and for the Corridor which are needed <br />and independently useful and would improve mobility and safety within the Corridor <br />provided that they do not preJudice the alternative selection process being undertaken in <br />connection with the development of the EIS for the project; and <br /> <br />. 3. That the preliminary selection oflocations for stations within the Corridor as well as the <br />consideration of other transportation system elements incident to the preparation and <br />completion of the EIS does not constitute a commitment to construct particular <br />improvements at any particular location. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />
