<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Public Information/Involvement Work Plan-I0/28/99 <br /> <br />Goals for This Plan <br />The NCDA's goals for public information and public involvement between June 1999 <br />and December 2000 are outlined below. <br /> <br />All public information/public involvement goals-and subsequent strategies and <br />tactics-are intended to complement the NCDA's organizational goal: To secure <br />local, state and federal funding while developing and maintaining the support of <br />people along the corridor. <br /> <br />Public Information <br /> <br />1. Build public awareness and support of the proposed Northstar <br />Corridor commuter rail line. <br /> <br />Public Involvement <br /> <br />1. Involve local communities in the NCDA's planning processes. Due to <br />the nature of the project, it will be necessary to make clear the role of <br />the public's influence. <br /> <br />2. Build a contingent of local third-party advocates-primarily <br />businesses-who support the NCDA and commuter rail project. <br /> <br />3.
