<br />Elk River City Council Minutes <br />November 15. 1999 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />4,3, <br /> <br />Northstar Corridor Update <br /> <br />Senior Planner Scott Harlicker presented the City Council with a proposed site plan <br />of the location for the rail station in Elk River, Scott indicated that the Planning <br />Commission met with the consultants for the NCDA for a presentation and <br />discussion on station layout and land use policy. He noted that the commission <br />had a concern about safety at the at-grade crossing of 171st Avenue, <br /> <br />4,4, Consider Snow/Ice Policy <br /> <br />Street/Park Superintendent Phil Hals reviewed the modifications in the city's Snow <br />and Ice Control Policy, <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1999-2000 SNOW AND ICE <br />CONTROL POLICY AS REVISED ON 11/15/99. COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4.5, <br /> <br />Consider Resolution in Support of Anoka-Hennepin Technical ColleQe <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers noted that the mayor of Coon Rapids is requesting <br />support from northwestern communities to keep the Anoka-Hennepin Technical <br />College (AHTC) from potential closure, He noted that the Minnesota State <br />Colleges and Universities (MNSCU) has targeted the AHTC for closure. It was the <br />consensus of the City Council to adopt the resolution in support of the college <br />staying in operation and further to request the city administrator to keep the <br />council updated on the situation, <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 99-84 IN SUPPORT OF <br />ANOKA-HENNEPIN TECHNICAL COLLEGE. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />5, Open Mike <br /> <br />No one appeared for Open Mike, <br /> <br />6,1, Request for Final Plat Approval by Merit Development, L,L,P, (Hidden Creek 2nd <br />Addition), Case No, P 99-13 <br /> <br />Senior Planner Scott Harlicker indicated that Merit Development Company is <br />requesting final plat approval for Hidden Creek 2nd Addition, which involves <br />subdividing Outlot A of Hidden Creek Addition into four single family lots. The <br />location of the development is the southeast corner of 193rd Avenue and <br />Meadowvale Road, Scott Harlicker reviewed the staff report on this request. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 99-85 GRANTING FINAL PLAT <br />APPROVAL FOR HIDDEN CREEK 2ND ADDITION, CASE NO. 99-13.
