.

.

.

4) OAK WILT - A thorough inspection of the rear portion of your property found no
oak wilt present. Removal of the existing oak wilt infection sites within the
development will decrease the likely-hood of your trees becoming infected. However,
all tree related activity such as; cutting, removal, stump work, and excavation near
trees should not be done during the time period from April 1 - July 1. I recommend
that any and all tree related workbe done during the natural dormant period of Nov 1-
March 31. Many cases exist where substantial oak tree loss was experienced by
homeowners and contractors due to the introduction of the oak wilt fungus by tree
related activities and new construction.

5) FUTURE LIABILITY - Construction activities which impact your trees, either
through rpot damage or the introduction of oak wilt, also increases your future
liability. Trees impacted on your property could become a hazard to future property
owners across property lines. Your trees could then become a liability to them if
setbacks are not adequate or if structures are placed close to your property line
(within fifty (50) feet.

6) SUMMARY - I have completed an initial appraisal of the affected trees on your
property. The initial valuation is in excess of Nine thousand and nollOO dollars
($9,000.00) for the trees located within five (5) feet of the property line.

Kunde Co., Inc. has assisted numerous municipalities and developers in tree protection issues.
The procedures recommended above has proven to not only increase the survival of the affected
trees, but also decreases the developers liability for future losses, while providing a positive
experience for all landowners.
