It was the <br />consensus that for the October worksession a special meeting be called for 5 to 6 <br />p.m. It was further the consensus of the council that the councilmembers <br />contact the City Administrator with their priority issues so that they can be added <br />to the worksession agenda. It was also suggested that the October 25th session <br />could be used for a council priority brainstorming session. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 25, 1999, FROM 5 TO 6 P.M. TO BE HELD AS A <br />WORKSESSION ON CITY COUNCIL PRIORITIES. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />7. Other Business <br /> <br />7.1. Councilmember Farber requested an update on the townhouse project <br />on Highland Avenue. The City Administrator updated the council on this <br />project and noted that the City Engineer has been working with the <br />developer regarding this issue, specifically the appearance of the pond <br />area and the boulevards on Jackson and Highland. <br /> <br />8. Staff Uodates <br /> <br />8.1. <br /> <br />Michele McPherson updated the council on the status of the office <br />building on Main Street and the conditional use requirement to remove <br />the house structure once the office building is constructed. She noted <br />that staff has sent a letter to the property owner requiring him to move the <br />house. She further noted that the property owner does not wish to <br />remove the home. Following council discussion, it was the consensus of <br />the council that the house be removed as this was a previous CUP <br />requirement. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />8.2. The City Administrator updated the council on an issue relating to surface <br />water management. He noted that the city has received a quote for <br />work to repair three surface water management issues. These repairs are <br />located on Simonet Drive, 5th Street and 189th Street. He indicated that <br />the total quote was for $14,450 from D&M Excavating. He further noted <br />that this would be funded from the surface water management fund. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE WORK AND QUOTE FROM <br />D&M EXCAVATING FOR $14,450 TO REPAIR SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT <br />ISSUES ON SIMONET DRIVE, 5TH STREET, AND 189TH STREET. COUNCILMEMBER <br />FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />8.3. Councilmember Motin discussed the issue of the name of Trout Brook <br />Farms. <br /> <br />9.
