APPENDIX ENERGY CITY COMMISSION
INTERVIEWS
In-depth Interview Transcripts
Energy City Commission Member One
Matt: Hi,this is Matt,Allison, and Kallie with the University of St. Thomas.
Commission Member: Hi,how are you?
Matt: Good, thank you.As we mentioned through email,we are working on the Energy City
project with Tom and Amanda.Thank you for speaking with us today.
Commission Member:Absolutely,thank you for calling.
Allison: Yes, thank you. I am Allison by the way, and we just have a few questions for you
today.
Commission Member: Sure,no problem.
Allison:Also,if you do not mind,we will be taking notes of our conversation?
Commission Member:Yep,no problem.
Allison: Great,so how did you get involved with the Energy City Commission?
I got involved when my boss took on a larger role as part of the resource recovery project and did
not have enough time to do it,so I felt that being a part of waste energy department, that I should.
Allison: How long have you been with the Energy City Commission?
One year.
Allison: How important is Energy City to you?
It's important. Being in the energy industry, it is good to put forth programs to try to educate and
push energy projects. Help people have a better understanding of where energy comes from;
there has been a shift recently to renewables. The public is not as educated as we would like
them to be with their power sources. We can do a better job informing them.
0
Page 69 ; UNIVERSITY of ST.THOMAS
'_M_-AGYC]
Opus College of Business
