Pending Programs: <br />Home Alone Safety Class <br />A new program that will be offered this summer to young teens who maybe <br />staying home alone for the first time while the parent(s) are at work. Class will <br />help them understand how to react in real-life situations and keep them safe <br />while at home. <br />Business Watch Program <br />Looking to develop a program with local businesses where law enforcement <br />partners with business owners to address concerns relevant to their business. <br />CPS Canton has reached out to the Chamber of Commerce and is currently taking <br />part in the Leadership Elk River program in an effort to develop contacts and get <br />ideas on how to best proceed with this program. <br />Premises Surveys <br />CPS Canton has recently received training in the area of premises surveys using <br />the principles of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED). We <br />are currently working on developing a program to get this information to <br />homeowners and business owners in Elk Rier. <br />
