<br />. <br /> <br />Wright County <br /> <br />Wright County is located adjacent to the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Although it is primarily <br />rural, the County continues to experience development, particularly in the eastern portion. <br />Interstate 94 runs through the northeast portion of the County and serves as a major throughway <br />between the Twin Cities and the St. Cloud metropolitan area west of the Mississippi River. The <br />northern portion of the County is primarily rural, while communities toward the south are urban <br />and considered part of the Metropolitan Urban Service Area. <br /> <br />Roadway conditions in Anoka County reflect common highway system congestion in some areas <br />and congestion is projected to become common in others. The County is expected to experience <br />a 34 percent increase in population between 1990 and 2015 based on Metropolitan Council data <br />and current trends; however with the exception of the new TH 10/610 link replacing a portion of <br />existing TH 10, no . major new roadways are planned.
