Request by Guardian Anaels Health Services for Amendment to a Conditional Use <br />Permit for Expansion of a Child Care Center, Public Hearina CU 99-5 <br /> <br />Director of Planning Michele McPherson indicated that Guardian Angels of Elk <br />River is requesting an amendment to their conditional use permit to allow the <br />expansion of the existing child care center located at 400 Evans Avenue. She <br />indicated that the conditional use permit will allow the modification of the <br />planned unit development agreement. Michele reviewed the staff report on this <br />issue. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing opened the public hearing on this issue. There being no one for or <br />against the matter, Mayor Klinzing closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE REQUEST FOR AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO MODIFY THE PLANNED UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT ALLOWING THE EXPANSION OF THE CHILD CARE CENTER <br />LOCATED WITHIN THE GUARDIAN ANGELS CARE CENTER WITH THE FOLLOWING <br />CONDITION: <br /> <br />1. THAT THE IMPROVEMENT COMPLY WITH STATE LICENSING AND LOCAL <br />BUILDING CODES PRIOR TO THE INCREASE IN CHILDREN TO BE SERVICED. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.14. Request by Guardian Oaks for Amendment to a Conditional Use Permit to <br />Expand the Senior Center/Dinina Site/Commercial Kitchen Site, Public Hearina <br />Case No. CU 99-24 <br /> <br />Director of Planning Michele McPherson indicated that the Guardian Oaks is <br />requesting a conditional use permit to modify the planned unit development <br />agreement to allow the expansion of the senior center dining room and <br />commercial kitchen facilities located within the building. She noted that the <br />improvements would consist of: <br /> <br />. a 40x50 foot classroom addition with office space for the senior center <br />. the addition of a 68x28 foot and 10x25 foot areas for the commercial kitchen <br />. the conversion of existing internal spaces to dining, serving, and lounge <br />spaces. <br /> <br />Michele McPherson reviewed the staff report on this issue. She noted that the <br />Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of the request. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing opened the publiC hearing. There being no one for or against the <br />matter, Mayor Klinzing closed the public hearing. <br />
